Preserving materials, honoring know-how

Linen

Flax fiber

At the heart of the fabric

Linen is made out of flax. Flax is a plant with blue flowers that grows in temperate and humid zones. France is the world's leading producer of this plant.

Once the flower has fallen, the plant is harvested and placed on the ground for the retting stage – the maceration that allows the extraction of the fibers. Once the fibers are extracted, they are scraped, beaten, and then combed. This is how flax fiber is obtained.

Flax is a zero-waste plant that requires very little water to grow, compared to other more traditional natural fibers, such as cotton.

Preserve its beauty

Linen is a fabric that over time and with use, develops a patina and reveals its beauty day after day. The fabric is very durable and naturally thermoregulating.

To care for it, wash it in lukewarm water at a maximum of 30-40 degrees Celsius. If you use the washing machine, reduce the spin speed to 600 rpm. Once the item is washed, we recommend air drying it.

Do not hesitate to iron your fabric using a steam iron to flatten out the most stubborn creases.

Dry cleaning is of course possible.

Silk

Silk fabric

At the heart of the fabric

Silk is a fabric formed from the fibers of silkworm cocoons, which they spin to transform into butterflies.

This noble material has thermoregulating properties, which allow you to be neither too hot nor too cold when wearing it. Very soft to the touch, this material respects the most fragile skin.

Preserve its beauty

To keep it intact for as long as possible, the best way to wash silk is to quickly soak it in lukewarm water, no more than 30 degrees Celsius. Use a delicate detergent and avoid twisting the laundry when spinning.

If you prefer to use the washing machine, use delicate cycles, a washing net and above all reduce the spin speed, no more than 400 rpm.

To dry your silk garment, air dry it in the shade. This material is sensitive to sunlight, which could cause the fabric to fade.

If you want to iron your silk piece, remember to do it on the reverse side at a low temperature.

Dry cleaning is of course possible.
